Summary[]

There are a group of origami bounty hunters who are terrorizing McQuarrie! Now it's up to Tommy and the gang to discover who is behind the attacks and put a stop to their dastardly deeds.

Plot[]

Tommy and Jacob are concerned after hearing that Jacob's brother, Noah, may be in trouble. They begin looking for Dwight to receive a prophecy, and on their way, Tommy trips in front of his own locker in the locker-room. When he looks up, he sees a horrible curse word on it, along with a puppet of Dengar (called "Deng-art" here). While he thinks of how to fix this, Jacob leaves to look for Dwight. Tommy decides that if he scribbles all over the locker, all will be fine. After leaving, the principal catches him.

The Principal says that they need help catching these vandals, as their office, the library, and other locations, have been vandalized. Tommy agrees to spy on other kids (especially after the promise of extra credit and a pardoning from an extra-curricular class), and decides to move forward with the task at hand. Other people, such as Kellen and Lance, have also agreed to help the principal out.

While the teacher is away, a substitute teacher named Gabe is working as the art teacher. He sits on a whoopee cushion, leading to Kellen to laugh. He's told to leave the room, and after that, the students run out to start decorating the halls with Thanksgiving stuff, despite it being the final semester before summer. Kellen learns from some other students that the art teacher did come in today, and didn't mention anything about a son. He looks at the ground and sees a box with the design of Bossk. Gabe winks at him, and now Kellen and the gang know who one of the bounty hunters is.

At Noah's school, we learn about his lifelong-friend Francesca, and the vandalism occurring at his school involving Aurra Sing. He gets sidetracked, describing her voice and how beautiful it is, but the general gist is that Francesca is one of the bounty hunters.

Quavondo is being bullied by a student named Chuck, who pushes him into a trash can. He finds a 4-LOM puppet in there (Named Fold-LOM), and he regroups with Mike and Lance, who happen to have identical puppets of the bug-eyed character. Lance gets the idea of going through every student's locker, but they get caught by Rabbski and are reprimanded. They find a locker, filled with different puppets of bounty hunters, implying that there's an artist making these calling cards for the students.

Harvey is in chemistry class, where his lab partner is Dwight. After making his concoction, an explosion goes off in the classroom, which was thanks to a student wielding an IG-88 puppet messing with the thermal decorator. Harvey is angry about this, because the science fair is coming up.

There's a student at McQuarrie named Rebekah, who describes how she brings her lunch to school, which consists of a poorly prepared sandwich called a blandwich. She decides to confront her mother about this, not without advice from Origami Yoda. Yoda says not to eat the lunch. That night, when Rebekah talks to her mother, she follows Yoda's advice, and they decide to start letting her buy her own lunch meals next year, rather than tomorrow. The next day, students start to vomit in the lunch room because the clam chowder was overcooked. Whoever had the Dengar puppet was the one that did it, as Dwight discovers.

Francesca is able to access the file and put her chapter about how the school has put out an All-Points-Bulletin essentially on whoever vandalized Noah's Middle School. Since she's the one vandalizing, she goes to Noah to beg, but Noah says he's not going to tell anyone (besides Kellen), much to her appreciation. Lance talks with Yoda about finding the kid who's locker has all of those puppets. After throwing Yoda, and Yoda getting mad at him, he sits and waits for Dwight to do something. Dwight gets up and walks to the girl's restroom. After some time, he comes out, wrapped in toilet paper, being followed by a girl that Lance takes a liking to, despite her makeup messed up thanks to Dwight's antics. We learn that he and Amy broke up over Mystery Science Theater.

Kellen chases after a student named Jonah, who is a hall monitor that is corrupt, and has been giving students punishments despite them not doing anything. While running from Kellen, he bumps into the principal, and a puppet of Boushh falls from Jonah's pocket. We learn that the person that's spearheading this is named "V." Or, that's the first initial of their name.

Robby, Francesca's older brother, writes in his journal about how Francesca and Noah came over, and Robby gave a call to Tommy to tell him that Francesca is Aura Sing. He hesitates, though, after seeing how much fun the two were having, and says to Tommy that he's been a bounty hunter in reality. Tommy stops talking to him, and Robby loses his tutoring job.

Mike has a note placed on his back, and he's made fun of for the majority of the day. Only after Kellen removes it does it hurt his feelings, and he begins to cry. At lunch, Vanessa, the French exchange student who Lance had interacted with earlier, sits down with him, and affirms him, makes him happy, and kisses him on the cheek. She leaves, and Origami Yoda tells him to be careful.

At the science fair, Harvey and his partner, Lawrence, make a Baking Soda Rocket, but it explodes, and a IG-88 puppet is at the scene of the crime. Isabel, Harvey's former love-interest, presents an IG-88 puppet that Lawrence had, making him flee. Harvey is devastated, but Isabel calms him down and makes him feel better.

Tommy, Kellen, Dwight, and Harvey start to mistrust one-another, believing any of them could be bounty hunters. When BoBag Fett (a play on Boba Fett) flies in on a helicopter, Tommy tackles Harvey, and immediately the helicopter crashes. He has a remote, but they discover it has no batteries. Bo-Bag left a note for the gang, telling them to meet them through the backdoor exit, and bring Yoda. They meet eachother, and Tommy gives them a puppet of Yoda- a decoy from Dwight, who had remembered how to fold the original puppet. The three kids that meet him, including a blonde-hair, blue eyed student, talk with him, saying some cryptic things before leaving.

Dwight tells Tommy that he did a good thing by trusting his friends. Later, James Suervo Junior and Adam Minch are sitting together outside, when a student named Lucas McIntosh came by on his backpack, opening it up and letting Origami Republic Gunships with origami Greedos attached to it fly everywhere. They get soaked by the sprinklers, but James and Adam tell the principal about it.

Kellen finds himself in the hideout of the Origami Bounty Hunters, and learns that V's main goal is trying to change McQuarrie into a school that doesn't care about test scores and cares more about creativity. The gang learn he is being held ransom. Kellen is outed, and is tied up and placed into a janitor's closet. Lawrence discovers him recording and takes away the recorder, much to his dismay. Tommy and Harvey both decide to team up to help rescue Kellen. Kellen is still trapped in the closet, being tortured by Lawrence.

After unfolding the puppets, Tommy discovers a map of the school, and an X over in the cafeteria, where the hideout would be for the Bounty Hunters. They get the principal to help out, and the principal gives the bounty hunters an ultimatum - in exchange for "more fun" classes, they will turn themselves in and end the vandalism. A fight breaks out after some students turn themselves in, and at first Amy believes that V. is Jacob Minch. Others disagree, thinking it's the kid in the cowboy hat, but then Mike says it's someone who has cared about all of them and has been nice. Lawrence, who reveals himself to be playing for the good team with an origami Plo-Kloon, takes off V's mask, revealing Vanessa. The Bounty Hunters are over.

Francesca kisses Noah, and is then called to the Principal's office at Williams Middle School. She is expelled because someone had ratted her out, and she puts the blame on Noah, promptly dumping him. Kellen is on the campus, and tells Noah that he had to do it. Noah stops being his friend. A while later, Kellen, Noah, and Jacob confront Noah. Noah, now Darth Noah, is pained, and refuses to take any advice on how Francesca could be reinstated.
